Bridging loans should be considered if:
- You haven't yet sold your current home but have found your dream home. If you're buying a new home, a bridging loan could help you pay for the deposit, stamp duty and removalist costs on a new property (as well as the purchase price on settlement). You will have 12 months after receiving any funds to sell your current home.
- If you're building a new home, you can also use a bridging loan, living in your current home until construction is complete. You will have 12 months after your first advance to build your new home, and sell the existing home.
